What should be included and not included on a good salad?

  1. Included: romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, pecans, strawberries, egg, blueberries, blue cheese, vinaigrette dressing

    Not included: green peppers, ham, cheddar cheese

    Included: romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded colby-jack cheese, onions, balsamic vinaigrette, a few parmesan croutons

    Not Included: green peppers, bell peppers, smelly cheese, olives

  4. I'm with Lanna, smelly cheese rocks! However, my son Jack complains every time that my salad stinks! :)

    I had the most awesome salad last night: aritsan lettuce (my husband calls them "weeds"), craisins, sliced almonds, gorgonzola, and pomegranate vinaigrette dressing, YUMMERS!

    I consider myself a salad conoissoeur and like just about everything and anything on my salads depending on my mood, but what is never included: CROUTONS! What's the point to these crusty things? They hurt the roof of my mouth.
